Norcross Arboretum

Norcross Arboretum

The Norcross Arboretum is at the city's Pinnacle Park, a recently designated park and was once a privately owned neglected retention pond, covered in kudzu. Since the city's acquisition of the park, amazing remediation and native plant installation has given the park its resilient character.

Recently a conservation program has been started at the arboretum. Though not labeled, due to it being a pilot program, the city has planted a handful of Torreya taxifolia, a critically endangered species, in the park space. Norcross is hoping to do its part by bringing this species population back to at least a stabilized population within our properties, and this experiment begins at the arboretum!
