Desert Meadows Park
Description
Desert Meadows Park is a 4+ acre Sonoran Desert botanical garden. It is located along the Anza Trail, a historical trail which follows the Santa Cruz river. Established and maintained by volunteers of the Green Valley Gardeners.
Visitors will find a wide variety of plants native to or adapted to the Sonoran Desert. Collections include trees and shrubs, perennials and wildflowers, cacti and succulents, and grasses. Demonstration gardens include a hummingbird habitat, a butterfly habitat, a rainwater harvest garden which provides bird habitat, and a 60-plot community garden providing year-round vegetable crops.
