Sugar House Park Arboretum

Description

Sugar House Park has been a public space for 68 years, in trust to The Sugar House Park Authority, owned equally by Salt Lake County and Salt Lake City. The park is centrally located in the Salt Lake Valley. It is a neighborhood park in the Sugar House neighborhood, a regional park draw for visitors from all of Salt Lake County, and a beloved attraction for visitors to Utah’s capital city. The park is known for its views of Mt. Olympus, sledding hill, access to Parley's Creek and Sugar House Pond, and rental pavilions and athletic fields, but the park also boasts 1,079 trees with 78 different species. The Level 1 Sugar House Park Arboretum highlights an initial 36 tagged trees of 33 species. Take a walk in Sugar House Park and visit each tree, beginning at the north entrance and walking counterclockwise following the direction of the one-way road. An online map or a printable PDF of the arboretum is available on their website.
