Description

Forest Hill Cemetery located in Piqua Ohio is a 120 acre cemetery divided by a canal and walking trail. Both the lower section and upper section are unique in what they hold and offer. It is the largest public union cemetery in Ohio and has over 30,000 burials and has the second largest Labyrinth Garden in the Dayton, Ohio region. Several original beech trees still stand from the 1800’s with many of the 100’s of remaining trees providing homes for many of the wildlife within the cemetery, several of the larger trees in the upper section near the canal have been seen with a resting pair of Eagles.

Each year the cemetery holds an Arbor Day celebration with over 300 school kids attending and plants 12 to 15 new trees each year.
