American Legion Post 199

Description

The Edwardsville American Legion Post 199 was founded in 1919 originally as a post for returning members of the Great War. Since then it has evolved into a beautiful golf course and restaurant, while staying true to its roots by honoring veterans via the many trees that have been planted as memorials to the very heroes who served. They feature many different groups of trees such as maple, oak, spruce, and elms, along with more uncommon species of trees along the 50 acres the Legion occupies. They welcome everyone to visit sometime as there is something for everyone to enjoy at the American Legion Post 199 in Edwardsville, Illinois.
